Instrumentation for the parts of Aotearoa the network forgets.

Ikusasa New Zealand designs connected hardware and software for rural infrastructure — starting with remote water tank monitoring for farms, lifestyle blocks, and the service providers who look after them.

TankSense

In active development

TankSense is a remote monitoring platform for rural water tanks — a web dashboard, mobile app, and purpose-built hardware working together so service providers can manage a fleet of customer tanks, technicians can install devices in the field, and tank owners can check their own water level from anywhere.

Devices are identified and claimed by tapping an NFC tag on install — there's no self-registration over the cellular network, so a device only ever enters the system through a deliberate action by someone standing in front of the tank.
